All of this in 15 weeks? Someone shoot me now!

In other news, I completely forgot how much I enjoy classes with Baker. He's blunt and a hardass but very understanding and an absolute hoot! We were discussing if everyone knew everyone else (I knew three of the other five students) and he was like,

Baker: I know Jade, this is the...fourth? class she's taken with me. I think she and Alice hold the record for students taking classes with me.
Jade: Uh huh, starting with right before freshman year. 3 weeks of 102 hell.
Baker: Yeah, so when you're cursing all the reading all you got to remember is that at least its not 15 weeks crammed into 3 like English 102 was.
Jade: This is very true.

And when we were introducing ourselves, he was like:

Baker: Are you still working on your novel?
Jade: Which one?
Baker: You've done more than one? Wait, what am I saying, of course you have, you're a great writer. *to rest of class* If you need a paper written, I don't condone this but Jade is the one to go to if you want an A.
Jade: Thanks. ... I think.

And then me and Jon got to mentioning the English department field trip to the rare books collection up at CU: Boulder and how there was a MASSIVE drug bust in the hotel parking lot as we were waiting for Baker and Mazel to get our room keys.

So far, my first week has been...an experiance.

Also, last thing: Guess who's little sister got her acceptance letter to Adams State College this afternoon, thus making her the first one to get accepted anywhere in her class? *grins* So, so proud of her!
