Spring Semester
Jan. 13th, 2011 03:45 amSo, I'm slowly working on getting things figured out for spring semester. I'm taking five classes, all English cause yeah, major, but only three of them require books.
I went through the website for what books I need and lo and behold, I have five of em. :) So at the least, I'll be paying about $180 and at the most, $240.
Since the building that houses the English department is being remodeled, all of us (plus about a dozen other departments) are being shuffled off to every other building on campus for classes. One of the English classes is even being held in the gym/Phys. Ed building, they're that desperate for classroom/office space. Luckily, I was aware of this when I scheduled my classes cause it wouldn't do to have a class in Plachy that ends at 8:50am and then have to be in the Theatre building on the other side of campus at 9am. As one of my prof's put it, "Um, no. Not gonna happen." I will have two classes in the Theatre building, one in the library, one in the Art building, and one in the Science/Math/Tech building. It's gonna be...interesting.
( Schedule )
Even though my schedule is really full Tuesday/Thursdays, I have a feeling its gonna be MWF that are gonna kill me. Murphy and Baker are two of the hardest profs in the department (Mac's the third but he's on sabbatical) whereas Abeyta never has a set schedule planned out (he says as a poet, he doens't do schedules unless he has to) and Owens is Sarah, my favoritist of the English department. She had absolutely no qualms in me doing my mythology applied research project on Power Rangers and even asked to keep it as a example for her other mythology classes (she's also the one who still has my Smores' Globe Theatre; she loves the thing.)
Other than that, I have one paper I have to drop off with the Provost to get my fin. aid straightened out. I do that tomorrow. Er. Today.
So yeah. Classes begin Tuesday and, so far, things are looking a lot less hellish than I'd been expecting. :)
