Summary: Spike and Kimberly meet. The world will never be the same. 100, 100 word drabbles.
A/N: I...do not know where this came from. All I know is I was watching Buffy, laughing at Spike, debating on going back into PR fanfic and boom! Dusting Duo was born.

Special
“Do you trust her?”

Spike looked at Buffy. When that big bloke and the tiny slayer had entered the house, Kim had tensed next to him before focusing on the man. They'd stared and, while Spike didn't think they knew each other, there was something there. Buffy had to have seen it.

“Yes,” he answered swiftly.

“She's not a slayer.” Buffy noted and Spike smiled.

“No,” he agreed softly. “No, she's not.”

She caught his eye. “But she is special.”

He looked away from her knowing gaze. “Yeah,” he acknowledged. “She is.”

Take care of herself
She hadn't felt the underlying electricity that connected everyone who'd been touched by the grid in a long time. Feeling it now, with Spike in the next room, was just...weird.

“Do Tommy and Jason know what you've been doing?” Eric asked, arms crossed. She glared.

“No, and if you tell them, there will be no where for you to hide.” The last thing she needed was her friends coming to her “rescue.” She could take care of herself, thanks.

“Jason's in town,” he told her. She paled. “He already knows about us. He's visiting tonight.”

Jason is coming
“Any particular reason you look like death warmed over?” Spike asked, stepping onto the patio. Kim, looking nervous, had escaped there after her chat with the Asian bloke. Since Kim didn't show fear often or easily, it worried Spike.

“We shouldn't have come to Ohio,” she whispered.

“Oh?” he asked. “And why's that?”

“Because my life sucks,” she answered. “Jason is coming.”

“And who is he, luv?” Spike asked patiently.

“An old friend,” she whispered. “One that's gonna to kill me for hunting demons.”

“Overprotective?”

“Like you wouldn't believe.”

Running since high school
Kim watched from the shadows as Jason exited the car he'd drove over in. He was laughing about something as he greeted Eric and nodded respectfully to Faith, who was smiling seductively at him.

“You gonna go over and say hi?” Buffy asked quietly from behind her. Kim bit her lip.

“Can I just...hide out here till he leaves?” she pleaded, almost desperately.

“Why are you so scared?” Spike asked, worried. Kim swallowed hard, tears prickling her eyes as the last seven years flashed through her mind.

“Because I've been running from him since high school.”

That's my girl
“Running's easy,” Spike whispered, standing in the shadows with his past behind him and his future beside him. “Facing its harder.”

“You have no idea,” she murmured and he could hear the ache in her voice. Whoever this bloke was, she'd missed him plenty.

“Go on, luv. I faced my demons. Now it's your turn.”

She gave a choked laugh before twirling around to hug him. “You're evil.”

“Damn straight,” he smirked. Buffy snickered. Wiping her eyes, Spike watched as Kimberly's spine straighten as she walked out of the shadows.

“That's my girl.”

Reassurances
To say Jason was startled at her sudden appearance would have been an understatement of zord-like proportions. He just stared at her for a few minutes, shocked, before shaking his head as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Then, without warning, she found herself crushed to a familiar chest, breathing in the scent of his aftershave and shampoo. It brought back memories long since buried, of a time when things were easier. Before she knew it, great heaving sobs were being forced from her body as he murmured reassurances in her ear.

She wondered who he was reassuring.

Morons
Spike watched as the man, who'd only moments before had been laughing with the Asian bloke, broke down in silent tears, burying his face in Kimberly's hair. It was obvious he'd missed her just as much as she'd missed him and Spike wondered how they could both have been so stupid.

They'd been trying to find themselves when all they had to do was look at their families to know.

“We're morons,” he whispered.

“You really are,” Buffy agreed, slipping an arm through his as Dawn did the same on his other side. “But you're our morons.”

Freak out
“I haven't actually seen Kim face to face in...” Jason trailed off and Kim felt her gut clench. Since Maligore her traitorous mind whispered. Spike raised an eyebrow at her and she shrugged.

After having her heart so darkly twisted, after knowing she had nearly killed her friends, Kim had completely freaked. She'd stopped visiting. She would have broken off contact all together if Adam hadn't threatened to come and knock some sense into her personally. She looked at Spike on the couch.

“I ever suggest we go scuba diving, feel free to give me a swift kick.”

Plead the Fifth
“Wait a minute,” Jason suddenly said, eyes snapping to Kimberly. “What are you doing here anyway? Aren't you supposed to be on your world trip?”

“How'd you hear about that?” Kimberly demanded and Spike's ears perked up. He was wondering the same thing.

“Billy told me,” Jason answered promptly. Spike raised an eyebrow at Kimberly's exasperated huff. Jason wasn't put off though. “So...how'd you end up in Cleveland?”

Spike smirked, satisfied at the deer in the headlights expression on Kimberly's face. Serves her right for telling that Marty story.

“Uh...can I plead the fifth?”

Buffy
Buffy watched as Jason stared at Spike's new girlfriend. Oh, she knew they weren't actually dating yet but Buffy knew the former vampire too well. He was falling and falling quickly. And this time...this time she suspected it was for real, not demonic lust or obsession.

Which was good considering she and Jason, new watcher in training cause he was just that stubborn, had been flirting for months now. She was officially baked and ready to be eaten.

...she really needed to get a better analogy.

Watching as the pseudo-siblings starting arguing about demon hunting, she smirked. She had a feeling she was gonna like the former gymnast.
