Summary: Spike and Kimberly meet. The world will never be the same. 100, 100 word drabbles.
A/N: I...do not know where this came from. All I know is I was watching Buffy, laughing at Spike, debating on going back into PR fanfic and boom! Dusting Duo was born.

Not Solitary
As they settled in for the flight from Paris to Australia, with two layovers, Spike could tell Kimberly wasn't even close to second guessing her decision. If anything, she seemed excited.

Spike, on the other hand, was wondering just what he was thinking. Kimberly was mundane. A good fighter, sure, but a civilian nevertheless. She should be going to college or working or, hell, even married and in the family way. She shouldn't be traveling with him, fighting demons.

But Spike had never done well alone. He wasn't a solitary creature. So he didn't say anything about her tagging along.

Planes
“Could you be anymore antsy?” Kim asked, amused. Spike had been fidgeting in his seat ever since the plane had taken off and honestly, it was bringing back memories of the plane ride with Rocky all those years ago. Even Adam, his notoriously patient best friend, had been ready to kill him when they got to Australia.

“I don't like planes,” he told her. “I like my feet firmly on the ground, thanks.”

Kim just kept herself from pointing out he always ended up flying through the air when they fought demons. She didn't think it'd help.

Antsy
“Bored already?” Spike said when Kimberly flopped down in her seat after her sixth trip to the bathroom in fifteen minutes. He had a feeling she just wanted to be moving, not that she actually had to use the facilities in the back of the plane.

“Oh yeah.” she answered. “How long till we get there?”

“We're less than an hour into the trip,” he reminded her and she groaned, thumping at the back of her seat. He smirked at the way things had completely turned around.

“Who's the antsy one now?”

“Shut up.”

Silence
“Ma'am, if you'd like to spread out a little bit, you're welcome to,” a stewardess told her two hours into the flight. Kim perked up cause, really, she wasn't claustraphobic but the seats were really cramped. She didn't remember the plane ride in high school being quite so...long but she was smart enough to know that was likely because she had been with her friends.

Spike seemed content to write in a notebook, refusing to play even gold fish with her. The silence was driving her crazy.

“Playing Solitaire?”

“Oh, now you want to play with me!”

Too Easy
Spike was thoroughly amused. Sure, he'd been antsy at first but he'd calmed down. Kimberly, on the other hand, got more and more wound up the longer the trip went on. He was grateful they'd had two layovers because, otherwise, he suspected she would have exploded somewhere over the Indian Ocean.

“Wow.” Kimberly murmured, looking up at the hotel he'd booked them at. “Nice place.”

“Well, come on then,” he said, eyebrow raised at her. “Don't you want a shower?”

She was at the check-in desk before he even finished speaking. He chuckled.

“Too easy.”
