So...crazy?
So, I've been thinking of this Bunny I've had for a while that would cross several of my crime fandoms and one drama. It would start with Roswell, go to CSI: Las Vegas, followed by Law & Order: SVU, and ending with NCIS and Criminal Minds. It would end up a Spencer/OC but considering people like to whump Spencer all the time I personally think the guy needs some love.
It would be in 4 Parts:
We meet Dakota Daniels, graduating senior at Roswell High School, deals with the insanity of their ceremony. This serves mostly as a way to introduce Dakota and a way for me to get a random bunny I had about the Roswellians. :D
Dakota is a brand spanking new freshman at UNLV, trying to figure out what to major in, why her roommate doesn't like her, and just why the mashed potatoes at the cafeteria taste like mac & cheese.
It goes through all five years at UNLV, including how she meets Greg Sanders followed by Gil Grissom. She becomes close to Greg, considering him a very close friend. He's the one who suggest Architecture as her major when he notices she greatly enjoys sketching floor plans, often spending hours on one until she gets it just right. She decides, ultimately, to double major with her second major being English.
She moves to New York after graduation, working for a small architectural firm. After a friend is raped, she meets and befriends the SVU crew--specifically, George Huang, Alex Cabot, and Capt. Cragen, who she calls "Papa Cragen".
She ends up roommates with George when he finds out where she's living--not a good place. She fully intends to get her own place but it gets the point where they're both simply too comfortable and they agree not to worry about finding her own place.
It covers three years in New York and her friendship with the SVU crew. She dates, breaks up, has fun. George finds her books and sends one to a editor friend of his. The editor is intrigued and she gets her first book published with the idea that she'll publish more. It hits bookstores and does moderately well. Not a bestseller but not a worst-seller either. About average.
Then, when a serial killer hits New York while George is out of the country, the BAU is brought in to help. Dakota meets them when she brings in dinner for the group working the case. She and Spencer immediately hit it off as Dakota wasn't perturbed by all Spencer knew. She thinks he's absolutely adorable. The BAU team stays a few days in NY after they finally catch the killer and she and Spencer spend most of that time at museums and dinners, talking.
For the last year she lives in New York, she and Spencer exchange letters daily, getting to know each other. They visit each other and she spends a week in DC visiting museums and doing the tourist thing with Spencer. Eventually, when she's given an opportunity to move to DC at the architecture firms new office, she decides to take it.
In DC, the first person she meets is her neighbor, Abby Sciuto. They hit it off quickly and Abby became a good friend. Eventually, she got to know the rest of the BAU team better.
She and Spencer's relationship gradually turns to romance and eventually, during season 4, he proposes. She accepts and the wedding is the end of the fic, when the various friends she has come down for the wedding. The bridal party was Dakota, Spencer, Jason Gideon (who Hotch hunts down when Spencer admits he'd like Gideon to be the Best Man), Abby Sciuto, Derek Morgan, Penelope Garcia, Aaron Hotchner, & Alex Cabot.
So. Am I completely nuts?
